Tobacco

Florida Department of Health in Taylor County

The Florida Department of Health in Taylor County has been actively supporting efforts to decrease exposure to secondhand smoke, inspire Floridians to quit smoking, and discourage youth from starting. We work with local schools, government, and community organizations to implement policies, systems, and environmental changes surrounding tobacco use.

The tobacco prevention team alonside the Taylor County Tobacco-Free Partnership, works towards goals to:

  • Prevent youth and young adults from starting to use tobacco
  • Protect Taylor county citizens from involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke
  • Provide support for current tobacco users who want to quit
