Tallahassee, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health’s Unlicensed Activity (ULA) announced that its joint investigation with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) has resulted in the conviction of Monica Alexandra Daza for the unlicensed practice of medicine, a third-degree felony punishable by up to one year in jail.

State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong visited Taylor County to highlight their commitment to helping children lead healthy lifestyles. During the event at the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida more than 40 children and their teachers joined Dr. Armstrong to highlight the importance of getting active at an early age. The children had the opportunity to learn about healthy portions and participated in simple, fun exercises.
